Lasserre Bradley, Jr., Senior Pastor

Lasserre is the director of the Baptist Bible Hour, our international radio ministry, since its beginning in 1953 and is the founding pastor of CPBC. One of the hallmarks of his ministry has been an emphasis on exegetical teaching, with a very practical and personal application, whether from the pulpit or in private counseling. Lasserre and his wife Emily have three grown children, and occupying a special place in his and Emily’s hearts are their twenty grandchildren!

One of many favorite verses: “Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jeremiah 33:3

One of many favorite books: The Holiness of God, by R.C. Sproul

Justin Huffman, Associate Pastor

Justin and his wife Chau moved to Cincinnati in 2003, in order for him to serve as an associate pastor at CPBC and managing editor for the Baptist Witness. Justin and Chau have since then adopted three children – Edmond (from Russia), Ransom and Avery (from Vietnam). Together they revel, not only in the blessing of children, but also in the wonders of God’s marvelous plan of adoption (Ephesians 1:5-6).

One of many favorite verses: “And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.” John 6:40

One of many favorite books: Perelandra, by C.S. Lewis

David M. Freeman, Elder

David is more personable and interesting than his Ph.D. in mathematics might lead you to believe. An invaluable servant in the body of CPBC, he has a particular burden for evangelism, whether local or international. David has led several teams from CPBC to minister in India, leads regular Bible studies in the community, and is always looking for opportunities for CPBC to minister in our neighborhood and among the nations. David was recently married to Emily Grace (whoohoo!).

One of many favorite verses: “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.” John 8:12

One of many favorite books: The Hidden Smile of God, by John Piper

Tim Harris, Elder

Tim moved to Cincinnati in the fall of 2010 and has become an invaluable servant-leader in the body of CPBC! His easy sense of humor and hunger for Christ are both winning and inspiring. With a special burden and gifting for discipleship, Tim has hosted small-group Bible studies, coordinated our youth fellowships, as well as supplied the pulpit here and elsewhere in the community with capable, engaging teaching from God’s Word.

One of many favorite verses: “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death” Philippians 3:10

One of many favorite books: Lectures To My Students, by Charles Spurgeon

Nick Sargent

Nick, and his wife Judy, have three grown children and 8 grandchildren. Nick’s number one desire for CPBC is to see us emulate Christ’s words in Matthew 5:14: “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid.” In his spare time, Nick enjoys flying as a licensed pilot.
